He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarkson "Buddy" Davis and Carrie B. Davis (Dabney); and his brother Aaron Davis. He is survived by: his children, Kyla L. Davis and Jeremy C. Brown; his sisters, Karen Davis, Yolanda Lewis and Aretha Mosley; and his aunt LaVerne Poindexter. He is also survived by extended family members, church family, and friends.
