He is survived by: his significant other Sandra Spriggs; his son Virgil Lee Bell Jr. (Kimberly); his stepchildren, Kim Cameron (David), Beth Bowman (Ernest Foster), Pamela Spriggs Walker (Grady), Frank Spriggs Jr. (Chandra), John Spriggs (Angie Graves) and Darnell Spriggs (Becky); his sisters, Edna Williams, Judith Brice, Linda Jackson and Kathleen Bell Spence (Robert); and his grandson Xzavion Lee Jefferson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
