He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph, Sr. Valla and Catherine Valla (Lickman); his wife Betty J. Valla (Allan); and his siblings, Elizabeth Valla, Rosemary Hetrick (Valla) and Joseph Valla.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Dulski, Pamela Valla (Dave Houston) of Springdale and Barbara J. Tassotti (Daniel) of Natrona Heights; his grandchildren, Jaclyn of Avalon and Justin Fetes of Springdale; and his sister-in-law Emma Valla of Ft. Myers, FL.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
