In the vast expanse of eternity, Barbara shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Barbara farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Beatrice Stalker and Robert Stalker; her sister Janet; her significant other William "Spike" Abbott; her sons, Christopher and Timothy (Maureen); and her grandchildren, Timothy Jr. (Julia) and Halloween.
Barb was named Woman of the Year by the Southhampton Junior Women's Club in 1976 and honored with the Women Helping Women award in 1990 and 1991 for her contributions to women's rights and equality.
