He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Olson; and his parents, Grant Olson and Mildred Olson (Millie). He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Della Messina and Rose Messina. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
