He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Capili and Antonina Capili. He is survived by: his spouse Devon; his sons, Jonathan, Matthew and Drizzy; and his siblings, Laudemer, Laurel, Librado, Leila, Lilia, Lolita and Lucy.
After his time in the military, he continued to serve his community as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service before retiring during the 2020 pandemic.
