He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edwards and Mary Edwards (Yuckna). He is survived by: his siblings, Anna Marie Undercoffler of Lansdale, PA and Jonathan Edwards of Bridgeport, PA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:20 AM at the Corpus Christi Church (900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to Global Giving's relief effort (https://www.globalgiving.org), supporting vulnerable children in Ukraine with food, clothing, and books.

“I met George in 1986 when i began dating (and then married) Dan Shaffer. From day one I loved George and his direct way of saying it as it was . He and I would chat at any family gathering and I always looked forward to seeing him. My fondest memory is when we were at Jim Shaffer’s 60th birthday celebration. I was 8 months pregnant and i was putting some food on a plate. George cane up and whispered “oh honey do you really think you need that much?” I laughed so hard I almost went into labor.”
