He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Dieckhaus (Cochrane); his children, Gerald J. Dieckhaus Jr. (Paola), Elizabeth A. Poli and Christine M. Fandozzi (Christopher); his grandchildren, Breanne C. Poli, Lauren E. Poli, Connor J. Poli (First Lieutenant Irene), Ryan P. Fandozzi, Daniel J. Fandozzi, Andrew P. Fandozzi and Victoria A. Dieckhaus; his great grandchild Veronica M. Poli; and his siblings, Patricia A. Welsh (James) and Rev. Joseph C. Dieckhaus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
