He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Steier; his sister Marjorie Hellmann Campeotto; and his parents, William Richard Hellmann and Helen Louise Lehto. He is survived by: his sons, Douglas (Theresa Flynn) of Athens and William (Melissa) of Hatfield, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Joshua, Andrew, Ashlyn and Lillian Hellmann of Hatfield, Pennsylvania; his cousin Peter Hellmann (Debbie) of Clayton, California; and his sisters-in-law, Marie Rigg (Tom) of Middletown, Delaware and Irene Braley of Albion. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews; as well as many caring friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM and on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 11:30 AM.
