“It was saddening to learn of Steve's passing. We worked together occasionally at Inco and published a few papers together. Through Steve I first learned of Haverford College, and both my sons and one grandson were graduated from there. Steve was thoughtful, bright, and always a gentleman. He was a terrific metallurgist and an always interesting colleague. My condolences to his family. Bob Kane (Inco 1968-1984)”
