She was predeceased by: her parents, George M. Shirley and Rita Shirley; her husbands, Richard "Scotty" Carlin and James E. Truax; her son John "JT" Truax; and her grandson Ian Truax.
She is survived by: her children, Anne Marie Kleinz (Michael), Lynn Marie Covert (Thomas), James E. Truax, Timothy M. Truax (Jennifer) and Richard J. Carlin Jr. (Lindsay); and her siblings, Kathryn McGinty, Margaret Shirley, Rita Shirley, George Shirley (Kathy Green), Eugene Shirley (Franny) and John Shirley (Kathleen). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
