He is survived by: his former wife Mary Steckel (Nee Yuliano); his children, Jennifer Hansell (Brian) and Peter Steckel (Megan); his grandchildren, Giavanna, Brian Jr., Olivia and Jaxon; and his siblings, Michael (Patricia), Donald, Thomas, Elaine Nuss (Richard), James (Laurel) and Nancy Caraccia (Mark). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Stroke Association (stroke.org) in loving memory of Pete, who's courageous 18-year battle following his stroke inspired all who knew him.
