He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Sullivan and Alice Marie Sullivan; his father-in-law Bernard John McPoyle; his sibling-in-law Jamie McPoyle; Thomas Sullivan.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Sullivan; his children, Kevin (Brianne), Erin, Mary Kathleen, Colin, Molly, Daniel, Meghan, Liam and Maeve; his siblings, James F. Sullivan, Richard Sullivan (Janet), Donna Tarzwell (Mark), Patricia Ann Gambone (late Michael) and Steven Sullivan (Kathryn); his mother-in-law Kathleen M. McPoyle; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Meekes (Rick), Karen McPoyle, Bernard McPoyle, Sean McPoyle, Brian McPoyle (Stacey), Patricia Gallagher (Timothy), Bonniejean George (Francis), Gwen McPoyle, Joseph McPoyle, Mary Behl (Josh), Brendan McPoyle (Jennifer) and Melissa Oxenberg (Jay). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Annunciation BVM Church (401 Brookline Blvd, Havertown, PA 19083). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at the Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery (1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Joe's memory be made to Monsignor Bonner–Archbishop Prendergast (Attention: Softball Program), Malvern Preparatory School (In honor of Rev. James Flynn, OSA), or St. Bernadette of Lourdes Church.
