He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter L. Merth and Delores Merth (White). He is survived by: his wife Clara L. Merth (Lee); his children, Cynthia Bermudez (Jorge L. Bermudez) and David Merth (Karen Merth); and his grandchildren, Katelyn (Lalo Hernandez), Samantha (Chandler Monks), Gabriela (Alexx Folawn), Anna Bermudez, Jason Merth (Anna Sanfino) and Christopher Merth. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Walter's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
