He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Gormley and Hannah Gormley; his brothers, Charles E. Gormley, John W. Gormley (late Joan) and Richard D. Gormley; and his in-law George Reuling, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen M. Scanlon (late Michael), William J. Gormley, Jr. (Joan), Carol Dooling, Charles E. Gormley (Diane), Thomas M. Gormley (Christine) and Stephen G. Gormley (Sheila); his grandchildren, Kellie, Michael, William J. III, Catherine, Anne, John, Jaclyn, Alysse, Charles, Shannon, Thomas, Caroline, Erin, Kevin and Caitlin; his great grandchildren, Everly, Daniel and William J. IV; and his in-laws, James, Renee Reuling, Bill Moran (Kate), John Moran (late Joyce), Ed Moran (Ginny) and Kevin Moran. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Donohue Funeral Home - Upper Darby (8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Annunciation BVM Church (401 Brookline Blvd, Havertown, PA 19083). A burial was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at the Ss Peter & Paul Cemetery (1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064).
