He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron M Diehl, Sr. and Mildred Snyder Diehl; his daughter Melodie Diehl Lutsky (Doobie); and his sisters, Sandra Rishel and Rolaine Blues.
He is survived by: his wife Carmella Montone Diehl; his children, Mary Beth Vanik Fisher (James), Janet Vanik Swortz (Dan), Joseph Vanik (Linda Napiello), Philip Vanik (Doreen) and Candida Diehl Vogan (Tim); and his sisters, Faye Ann Shealter, Mary Jane Dries and Windgap. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
