He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores L. Ward (Leidich); his parents, Harold J. Ward and Arlene Ward (Weaver); and his siblings, Thomas, Janet Spindler and Karen Nemeth.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia E. Ward.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. (326 Main St, Hellertown, PA 18055). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown (85 Main St, Hellertown, PA 18055). A reception will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Carriage House (326 Main St, Hellertown, PA 18055).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mercer's name may be made to the Hellertown Historical Society, 150 West Walnut Street, Hellertown, PA 18055.
