He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie (Neach); his children, Lesley Matus of Pottsville, Jeffrey Matus (Lauren Zitsch) of Philadelphia and Tara Matus of Hellertown; his sister Sharon Matus of Bethlehem; his niece Rachel Hamershock of Bethlehem; his great-niece Adelynn Smith of Bethlehem; and his granddaughter Delaney Baier.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Richard's name to: LVHN – Hospice and or Visiting Angels.
