He was predeceased by: his parents, James Luft and Dolores Luft (Cook). He is survived by: his wife Karen Luft (Thompson); his children, Tyler, Travis Luft and Alexis Gasparro (Chad); and his siblings, Tim, Mark Luft, Cheryl George (David) and Lisa Ross.

“We were customers of Jim, but not for long. He was so personable that we quickly became friends. I never enjoyed going to any car service business as much as I did his. He always took time to have a conversation with us. We felt he did great work at a fair price. In appreciation I started baking banana bread for him not knowing it was his favorite. The first time I brought one in he said "that better be banana bread." Our deepest sympathy to his family. Rest in peace Jim. Joe and Carol Luzanski”
