He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Kimmel and Elsie Kimmel (Maust); his wife Gloria A. Kimmel (Showalter); his granddaughter Marsha Flowers; and his great grandchild Posey Foy.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Kimmel, Jr. (Virginia) of Mt. Sidney, VA, Connie Sanders (Randy) of Summerfield, FL, David Kimmel (Tina) of Hermitage, PA and Brenda Rewis (William); his sister Jean Ann Whipkey of Pittsburgh, PA; and his grandchildren, Vickie Sly, Lisa Zuber, Scott Kimmel, Sherry Golden, Elizabeth Oakes, Nichole Hamelly, Kyle Kimmel, Faith Whalen and Jake Rewis. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (1090 E State St, Sharon, PA 16146). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Shriners Children's Hospital - Erie, 1645 W 8th St, Erie, PA 16505.
