He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Dekanich; his children, Cherie Layshock (Don) of Hermitage and Robert Kurz (Anna) of Bowie, MD; his grandchildren, Justin Layshock (Juan Ortiz), Brittany Riffe (Cory), Patrick Layshock (Emily), Dr. Mikhaila Layshock (Chris Galantis), Sixten, Gustav and Ludvig Kurz; and his great grandchildren, Sebastian, Ethan, Amelia, Victor and Olivia.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to St. Anthony's Church, 804 Idaho St., Sharon, PA 16146.
