He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob B. and Mary McCorkel, Sr. (Snavely); his former wife Nancy McCorkel (Smeltz); his siblings, Paul, Lloyd, Donald McCorkel, Mildred Runion, Geraldine Martin, Mary Koehler, Charlotte Rissler and Shirley Myers; and his granddaughter Sarah McCorkel.
He is survived by: his wife Louise McCorkel (Shaver); his children, Lorraine McCorkel of Elizabethtown, Jacob B. McCorkel, III (Robin) of Elizabethtown and Dean J. McCorkel (Maria) of Hershey; his stepchildren, Michelle Saich (Michael) of Palmyra and John J. Talaber (Joanne) of Hershey; and his brother Samuel S. McCorkel of Hummelstown.
