Kasimer V. Urevich Obituary

80, passed away peacefully at home in Hershey, PA on Friday. January 13, 2023, from pancreatic cancer. Kosh was born on April 24, 1942, in Newton, NJ to the late Kasimer and Mary (Rudinski) Urevich.

Growing up in Great Meadows, NJ, Kosh worked on a local vegetable farm. While in high school he helped support his family by working nights at the M&M's candy factory and operating a mobile TV tube repair business out of an old LaSalle hearse that he retrofitted. Kosh loved racing his Pontiac Bonneville at the drag strip behind his house-until his mother found out.

After graduation from Hackettstown High School in 1960, he was an apprentice instrument and tool maker at Bell Telephone Labs. In 1963, he married his high school sweetheart, Elinore "Sandy" Thompson, and in 1967 the couple moved to Rummersfield, PA, where they raised three children and operated a farm for many years. Later in life, Kosh graduated from Mansfield University with a B.S. in Business Administration and pursued his interest in stock trading and the financial markets.

Moving to Hershey in 2005, Kosh was a long time member of the Megabucks Investment Club, the Antique Automobile Association, and the Hummelstown Field and Stream Association. He was a skilled mechanic and truck driver who enjoyed old cars, hunting, gardening, getting a good bargain, and lunch with the guys. Kosh is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandy Urevich; his son, Mark (Debra) Urevich, from Harrisburg; and daughter, Michele (J. Scot) Chadwick, from Hershey; grandchildren Sydnee Urevich, Paige Chadwick, Meredith Chadwick, Addison Goldfinger, Alexander Goldfinger; a great-grandson, Kai Mack; and a brother, Leonard Urevich, from Anchorage, Alaska.

In addition to his parents, Kosh, was predeceased by a daughter, Shannon Urevich Goldfinger, on August 2, 2021; and a sister, Louise Urevich Dimiceli, on October 2, 2019. The family would like to thank Hospice For All Seasons for their compassionate care.
