She was predeceased by: her parents, James Stockman and Marie Stockman (Doyle); her brother Robert Stockman; and her husband George M. Smith. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Bannon, Chris Bannon (Brian Bauhs) and Trish (Mike Jefferson); her stepdaughter Brandy Smith; and her grandson Alex Jefferson.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the American Association of University Women (AAUW), an American non-profit organization that advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.
