He is survived by: his wife Sharon Welty (Humphreys); his son Seth Welty (Laura) of Northampton; his grandson Parker Welty; his sister Geri Phillips (Roger) of Elizabethville; his niece Chanda Ney; his great-nephew Mason Rodkey of Halifax; and his niece Jackie Ney (Jeff Tkach) of Allentown.
