She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Hutchison and Ethel Cummins Hutchison; and her son Gerald D. Ferris (Jerry). She is survived by: her son Jay H. Ferris of Hickory; and her grandchildren, John, Eric Ferris of Hickory and Sara Ferris of Washington. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
