He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Pansy Lee Gump McGlumphy; his wife Joanne Wesley Gump; his sons, Clay Gump (Robin Hopkins) of Baltimore, MD, David Davidson of Baltimore, MD, Timothy Gump (Mandi) of Brave and Terry Lee Gump (Dawn) of Holbrook; and his stepsister Mary Louise Livingston of Memphis, TN. He was also cherished by six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home (5894 Mason-Dixon Hwy, Blacksville, WV 26521). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
