He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen C. Sassaman and George M. Lightner, Sr.; and his brother Samuel L. Lightner. He is survived by: his significant other Patricia L. Lightner (Turnbaugh); his daughter Tina L. Lightner-Morris (John) of Gaithersburg; his nieces, Judie Hollen and Cindy Stevens; and his nephew Kenny Hollen.
