He was predeceased by: his son Edward A. Herman, III; and his brother Gary Herrmann. He is survived by: his wife Judith Herrmann (Cassel); his children, Alisha V. Kreider (Brian) of New Providence and Matthew E. Herrmann (Katlyn Allocco) of Holtwood; his grandchildren, Emma, Leah, Evan, James and Oliver; and his siblings, Joseph, Leo Herman, Sandra Morgan and Donna Payne.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ascension Lutheran Church (600 Penn Grant Rd, Willow Street, PA 17584). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
