She was predeceased by : her parents, Ellis Maudsley and Edna Maudsley (Rauner); her husband Maurice Day; her sons, Edwin E. Day and Maurice "Elmer" Day, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Karen Day; her grandson Eddie Booths; and her siblings, Louis Maudsley and Elsie Hathaway.
She is survived by : her daughters, Carolyn Love (Bobby) of Virginia and Lois Day of Pittston, PA; her daughter-in-law Treva J. Day of South Canaan; and her grandchildren, David Booths (Dee), Josey Allen (Tom), Michael Booths, Jay Love, Tracy Sanchez (Edmundo), Dr. Stephen Day, Laurie Wagner (Don), Renee Fries (Kyle) and Crystal Kotlowski (John). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doris' memory to the Central United Methodist Church, 205 11th Street, Honesdale, PA 18431 or, the charity of the donor's choice.
