It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sonia (Alvia) Paloy of Honesdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Michael W. Paloy; and her daughter Theresa Hnatko. She is survived by: her children, Lillian Earyes (James Kean), Michele Brown and Donna Paloy; and her grandchildren, Gary Earyes, Julia Hnatko, Alyssa Zola, Darren Brown, Kaitlin Dodge, Vanessa McConnell, Sararose Hnatko, Ryan Brown, Justin Brown, Melanie Sives, Michael Hnatko and Bethann Hnatko. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hessling Murray Funeral Home (428 Main St, Honesdale, PA 18431). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Magdalen Church (416 Church St, Honesdale, PA 18431). A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Funeral Home Hessling Funeral Home (428 Main St, Honesdale, PA 18431).
