The memory of Viola Hollister of Hop Bottom, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 23, 2025 at the age of 82, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Viola may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Viola touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Wood and Edna Springer Wood; her husband Fred Hollister; and her siblings, Arthur Wood, Howard Wood, Donald Wood, Ronald Wood, Irene Carey, Laura Wells and Gertrude Sickler.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jerry "Lenord" Wood, Jr. and Julia Farr. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the East Rush Cemetery (185 Cemetery Rd, Montrose, PA 18801). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at the Funeral Home Harding Litwin Funeral Home (123 W Tioga St, Tunkhannock, PA 18657).
