He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Edward and Mabel Margaret Cahill (Garwig); his wife Shirley Cahill (Rader); his siblings, Patrick Cahill, JoAnn DiCarlo (Patsy) and Jane Cahill; his granddaughter Meghan Alyssa Mercadante; and his great grandchild Aria Rodriguez.
He is survived by: his children, Sharlene Mercadante (Gary) and David Cahill, Jr. (Sandy); his grandchildren, Colleen McElhaney (Blake), Michael Cahill (Lisa) and Kristi Rodriguez (Cody); and his great grandchildren, Fia Meghan McElhaney, Betty Cahill and AJ Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
