He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlin "Bud" Hackney and Laura Hackney (Chunkala). He is survived by: his wife Regina Kay Hackney (Lozaw); his children, Carla Fabac (Michael) of Irwin, PA and Joseph M. Hackney Jr. (Christine) of Lemont Furnace, PA; his grandchildren, Luke Fabac, Joseph Hackney III, Marissa Fabac and Alyssa Hackney; and his brothers, Jay Hackney of Crucible, PA and David Hackney (Patty) of McClellandtown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
