We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2022, at the age of 89, Ruth L. Barney of Hopwood, Pennsylvania, born in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth L. Barney to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Peter Baer and Mayme Baer (Klineaman); her husband Wendell Barney; her daughter Susan Laird; and her sons-in-law, Todd Laird and Alson Schiffbauer.

She is survived by : her children, David Barney of Hopwood, Wendy Schiffbauer of Round Hill and Michael Barney of Uniontown; and her sisters-in-law, Connie Barney of Uniontown, Bonni Hopler of Annadale and Barbara Marshall of Ashburn. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fayette Friends of Animals.
