He is survived by: his wife Elsie Ceresa; his children, Donna Bird-Casper (late Joe Casper) of Houston and Daniel Bird (Denise) of Washington; his grandchildren, John "JD" Bird (Carie), Donald Bird III (Angela), Daniel Bird Jr., Deanna Bird and Delaney Bird; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Isabella and Sophia Bird; and his siblings, Gloria Bird, Florence Wilson of San Antonio, TX and Ralph Bird of Washington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
