She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. McDermitt and Annetta Gilliland McDermitt; her husband John Robert Sawchuck; and her sisters, Virginia Tobias, Lois Haney and Eleanor Elizabeth McDermitt.

She is survived by: her sons, Robert L. Sawchuck (Cathy) of Maryland and William A. Sawchuck (Ruth) of Houston, PA; her brothers, Donald McDermitt of Georgia, James McDermitt (Virginia) of Illinois and Howard McDermitt of Virginia; and her grandsons, Timothy and Sean Sawchuck.
