It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mahute of Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Mahute to pay them a last tribute.
As John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen John and Anna Mahute (Kislack). He is survived by: his cousins, Barbara and Delores; his children, Timothy Mahute of Dubois and Valerie Rogers (Richard) of Shamokin; and his grandchildren, Cameron Mahute, Chase Shaffer and Kayla Shaffer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc.-Ramey (2550 Union St, Ramey, PA 16671). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (123 Good St, Houtzdale, PA 16651).
