She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph and Pearl Messimer, Sr. (Strawser); her spouse J. Glen Goodling; her brothers, Roger Messimer, Marlin "Tank" Messimer, Henry Messimer and Ralph Messimer, Jr.; and her brother-in-law J. Earl Goodling.
She is survived by: her sisters, Marlene L. Goodling, Loretta Culver (Curtis) and Darlene Stahr (Herman); her sisters-in-law, Shirley Messimer, Janice Messimer and Emma Messimer; and her close friend Ruth Ann Otto. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Dressler's Ridge Church Cemetery (4180 Dressler Ridge Rd, Mt Pleasant Mills, PA 17853).
