Gayle Darlene Shaffer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gayle Darlene Shaffer of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 20, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Gail Borden. She is survived by: her husband Lee J. Shaffer, Jr.; her children, Darrin Lee Shaffer (Dorinda) of Londonderry Township, Michele Diane Smith of Harrisburg and Brian Scott Shaffer of Harrisburg; her grandchildren, Brittany Etchberger (Kyle), Brendan L. Shaffer (Maggie Sell), Hunter Smith (Sam Papile) and Haley Smith; her great grandchildren, Easton, Kaden, Braelyn Etchberger, Drake Lee Shaffer and Braxton Deen Etchberger; her siblings, Michael Graham (Beth) of Londonderry Township, Monty Graham (Sherri) of Palmyra and Bonnie Harner (Walt) of Londonderry Township; and her brother-in-law Raymond Shaffer of Hummelstown. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home (114 W Main St, Hummelstown, PA 17036). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc. (114 W Main St, Hummelstown, PA 17036). The inurnment was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (55 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003).
