He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernie Ambrose and Mabel Ambrose (Cutshall); and his siblings, Ernie Jr., Ron Louder, Maynard and Joann Bishop.

He is survived by : his wife Glendell Swafford; his children, Bret Ambrose (Brenda) of Prairie Village and Amy of Richmond, VA; and his siblings, Malcolm Ambrose of Huntingdon, PA and Jennifer Clark of Huntingdon, PA.
