She was predeceased by: her parents, Emory Lantz and Nellie "Glunt" Lantz; her husband Robert H. Shaffer; her brothers, Emory Lantz, Harold Lantz and Robert "Lefty" Lantz; and her great great grandchild Easten Itinger.
She is survived by: her son Brett Shaffer of McConnellstown; her sisters, Saundra Whitesel and Bonnie Buchli; and her grandchildren, Christopher Itinger (Rachel), Trae Bishop (Kelli), Angi Stapleton, Jenny Smith (Careem), Chandra Alexander and Caleb Shaffer. She is also survived by three daughters and a son.
