She was predeceased by : her parents, Martin Shank and Mildred Shank (David); her husband Benjamin "Ben" Franklin Whitsel; her siblings, Lois Shafer, Ted Shank and Richard "Dick" Shank; and her stepbrother Martin "Marty" Shank.
She is survived by : her sons, Matthew Whitsel (Ellen) of Hill Valley and Adam Whitsel (Yvette); her grandson Michael Whitsel; and her stepbrother Carl Lee Shank (Alexandria). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, Sugar Run Church of the Brethren or Huntingdon County Habitat for Humanity.
