He is survived by: his son Steve Helsel; his granddaughters, Amanda (Shane Hillegass) of Freeport and Katie (Craig Cannon) of Audubon, IA; his great grandchildren, Kolter, Kyler and Kayden; and his brother Clarence Helsel.
