He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Biernesser and Martha Lebo Biernesser Sr.; and his siblings, Albert, Geraldine and Flora Mae.

He is survived by : his wife Eleanor Miller Biernesser; his children, Deborah Fenchalk of Cheswick, Dale Biernesser (Karen) of Gibsonia, Sue Ann Beattie (Peter) of Slate Lick, Art Biernesser III (Linda) of Saxonburg, James Biernesser (Lisa) of Franklin and Darlene Biernesser (Buffy) of Washington Pa; and his sister Mildred Frohlich of Gibsonia.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl.
