It is with sadness that the passing of Richard L. Brust of Indiana, Pennsylvania is shared. Richard, born on May 26, 1934, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph and Gertrude Irene Brust (McCreary); and his wife Joan Vanderhorst Brust. He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Blake (Martin) of Vancouver, BC; his grandchildren, Robert Blake (Emily) of Bowmanville, ON, Lindsay Blake of Peterborough, ON, Benjamin Blake of Vancouver, BC, Micaiah Blake, Landen Blake, Robyn Blake-Davies and Ryan Blake; and his brother Rev. Donald Brust (Verna). He is also survived by 3 nieces, a nephew and 2 great nieces and a great nephew.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home (36 N 7th St, Indiana, PA 15701). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church (640 Church St, Indiana, PA 15701).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial donations be made in Richard's honor to the Graystone Choir Ministry at the church's address.
