He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Thomson and Beuhlah Thomson; and his brothers, Skeeter and Jerry Thomson. He is survived by: his wife Laverne Thomson (Anderson); his daughters, Laverne Perich (Philip) and Cynthia Delo (Randy); his grandchildren, Philip Perich (Danielle), David Delo (Michael) and Stacey Bui (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Luca, Elliott, Margot and Colette.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Inc. (176 Clay Pike, Irwin, PA 15642). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in David's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
