She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Ireland and Mary Shields (McGoldrick). She is survived by: her husband Ronald A. Sekerka; her brothers, Jack, Richard and Victor Shields; her sons, Ronald A. Sekerka (Sandra) of Irwin and Michie F. Sekerka of Wyoming; her grandchildren, Ronald J. and Sidney Sekerka; her close friend Walter Gasper; and her brother Robert Ireland (Nancy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
