Kevin G. Gongaware Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 12, 2025, at the age of 61, Kevin G. Gongaware (Irwin, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Gongaware and Norma Jean Wisser (Dunn); his brother Merle Keith; and his stepfathers, Joseph Chervenick and Glenn Wisser.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kris (Jill), Janis Kljun (Andrew) and Jennifer Fitzgerald (Patrick); his siblings' children, Ben (Erica), Jacob, Joseph, Carly and Emma; and his Chow Chow Cash. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Inc. (176 Clay Pike, Irwin, PA 15642). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at the Irwin Union Cemetery (431 Bridge St, Irwin, PA 15642).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kevin's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
