Shirley B. Byers Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley B. Byers of Irwin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Wilson and Opal Bowling Wilson; her husband Edward C. Byers; her son Terry Byers; and her brother Richard Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Byers Jr. and Brenda Billy; her daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Byers; her grandchildren, Michael (Candy), John (Kristie), Edward III, Melissa, Justin (Jackie), Jared and Derek; and her great grandchildren, Travis, Kylie, Natalie, Hannah, Elizabeth, Logan, Abigail, Delilah, Brodi, Jace and Mia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Inc. (176 Clay Pike, Irwin, PA 15642). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Irwin Union Cemetery (431 Bridge St, Irwin, PA 15642).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Shirley's name to the Norwin Area Meals on Wheels.
